Field Day 2017

 

Once again PEARL will be participating in ARRL's Field Day event. Field day is an event where the objective is to work as many other amateur radio stations in the United States and Canada. Field day is most likely the single largest emergency preparedness drill in the country. PEARL will also be conducting a VE Session all throught Saturday for those who want to take an exam for their amateur radio license. This year PEARL will be operating from Sycamore Park in Mahopac, see map below.  PEARL will be operating under the K2PUT callsign.

Paul Glatz, W2BP, Silent Key

Members of the ham radio community, it is with deep sadness that we bring news of the passing of Paul Glatz, W2BP, formerly KB2SFU. Paul  became a silent key on Wednesday, March 29th 2017. He will be deeply missed by all.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 2nd, 2017, 1:00pm - 5:00pm at Beecher Funeral Home in Brewster NY

 

Tonight's meeting, 3/15/17, has been CANCELED

Due to inclement weather, the General membership meeting for March 15th has been canceled.

The next general membership meeting will be April 18th.  Hope to see you then.

Skywarn Spotter Training May 23rd 2017

PEARL is hosting a SKYWARN Spotter Training class this May 23rd at 7:00 PM at the Putnam County EOC.
