Brunei V84SAA DXpedition to Focus on Low Bands

Setup is under way in the tiny Southeast Asian nation of Brunei, located on the Island of Borneo and surrounded by Malaysia, for the V84SAA DXpedition. Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) has announced another slow-scan television (SSTV) transmission event, using images from the NASA on the Air (NOTA) program that celebrated NASA’s 60th anniversary and key events in NASA’s early history during 2018.

The K7RA Solar Update

The past week saw increased solar activity, with average daily sunspot numbers rising from 5.3 to 19.6 and average daily solar flux from 69.8 to 74.5. We haven’t seen such strong activity since the beginning of last summer, when ARLP016 in 2018 reported average daily sunspot number at 22.6 and average daily solar flux at 75.3.
